Accounts Payable, Maintenance Clerk – Seaboard Transport – Dartmouth

Our organization has grown by providing excellent service to both the petroleum and chemical industries while diverging into dedicated transport services.

Currently we are hiring an Accounts Payable – Maintenance Clerk.

Core Job Functions:

Processing purchase orders / repair orders
Processing invoices
Processing cheque runs
Sorting and organizing incoming and outgoing documents
Tracking of various items using spreadsheets
Communication with vendors verbally and by email
Account reconciliations
GL coding of invoices
Posting invoices/cheque batches
Filing documents
Other duties as required

Job Requirements:

Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience
Transportation industry experience considered an asset
Advanced capabilities with MS Office, including: MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Strong communication skills – verbal and written
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
High-level of attention to detail
Ability to multi-task with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Critical thinking and analytical skills required
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
