Description: Our confidential client is a leading infrastructure company whose core businesses include engineering, building, installing, maintaining and upgrading energy and civil infrastructure in North America. The successful candidate will work closely with the President and CEO and Chief Operating Officer of the Canadian affiliate as well as the CFO of the Canadian Division.

The subsidiary is a leading Canadian affiliate that services the oil and gas industry, diversified energy as well as the heavy civil and utilities infrastructure segment across this country on a national basis.

The Canadian affiliate traditionally produces revenues of $600 million/year in signed RFPs:

$300 million from new projects booked;
$100 million from the backlog of the previous year; and
$200 million in accounts payable from current projects

Responsibilities:

The Chief Financial Officer will provide leadership, strategic oversight, management and innovative vision to build and strengthen the financial reporting in accordance with Canadian IFRS and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations (including GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley).

Qualifications:

A relevant post-secondary undergraduate bachelor’s degree coupled with an MBA or other professional credentials (CA is preferred);
Minimum of three to five years as a CFO for a publicly-traded company on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) OR as a CFO of a Canadian affiliate filing reports with the American parent to meet all regulatory requirements;
Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing the Finance team;
Able to work in a dynamic environment with varied work cultures and with a diverse group of customers
Understands civil, concrete and industrial construction and can provide effective cost accounting for those services to customers across Canada and the United States.
Possesses a track record of filing financial reports in accordance to U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and all requirements of a publicly-traded American company.
