Job Description
We are looking for a Controller who enjoys participating in the operation of a small company. You will be hands on in every way; reviewing AR, AP, reporting, executing the billing process and some administrative functions. You’ll report to the President.

Primary Responsibilities

Financial statement preparation
Financial reporting and analysis
Prepare and post journal entries
Maintain general ledger and various sub-ledgers
Bank reconciliations
General ledger maintenance
Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested
Oversee & assist in AR, AP, payroll and inventory as required
Filing of all government remittances
Commission administration
Preparation of annual financial statement package for the external accountants
Company Group Insurance Policy
Co-ordinate the annual inventory count

Qualifications

Professional designation or near completion (CPA, CMA, CGA or CA)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Strong business and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects while respecting deadline issues
Superior attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team.
An innovative and solution oriented mindset
Good oral and written communication skills
