Marketing Coordinator – The Centre for Mindfulness Studies (CMS), 180 Sudbury Street, Toronto

There’s a reason our society isn’t taking action to stop global warming — we are on auto-pilot, driven by our fears and craving, unable to make the difficult choices we need to make. With mindfulness, we see what’s really going on, where true happiness comes from, and that we don’t need to consume so much to be truly happy. We can let go of our fears and craving and be who we really want to be. As a society, our minds can evolve so that we are able to sustainably manage ourselves and our technology.

The Centre for Mindfulness Studies (CMS) is a dynamic, fast-growing and innovative social enterprise. We seek to be the national leader in the application of mindfulness-based approaches in health care, education and social services. We are also a caring organization. Our service and care for our clients, our community and our staff is at the heart of everything we do.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for service and an interest in mindfulness as a means of personal growth, well-being and mental health.

CMS currently has 7 staff and 35 faculty. As a registered charity, we offer clinical treatment to individuals suffering from mood disorders e.g. anxiety/depression and chronic health conditions, e.g., pain, cancer, etc. The Centre also provides professional development programs for healthcare, education, workplaces and social service providers. The Centre extends these services for free or at a nominal cost to marginalized populations and the front line workers who support them.
