Abbotsford School District is looking for qualified candidates to work on an as-needed basis as casual Education Assistants and Youth Care Workers.

Casual Education Assistants
Successful applicants will have graduated from a minimum one year program for Education Assistants from a recognized community or technical college, supplemented by a minimum of one year of experience in a related setting. Experience in providing assistance to special needs students in a classroom or group setting in the completion of prescribed academic programs is required.
The current casual salary rate is $22.48 per hour with an additional 8% of straight time pay in lieu of statutory and non-statutory benefits.

Casual Youth Care Workers
Successful applicants will have a minimum Grade XII supplemented by graduation from a recognized two-year, post-secondary program (e.g. Social Services Diploma Program, Youth Care Worker Program, etc.). A minimum of three years’ experience in a related setting, with recent training and experience in the areas of behaviour management, child/adolescent psychology, counselling, etc. is required.

The current casual salary rate is $23.76 per hour with an additional 8% of straight time pay in lieu of statutory and non-statutory benefits.
