JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answer participant questions (phone/email)
Send participants supporting documents before their travels to Canada
Provide data entry support for participant work permit applications
Utilize company database to keep track of participant program information
Assist with processing participant applications
Prepare international staff for arrival in Canada and help out with tasks such as:
Collect flight information
Collect participants’ criminal and medical checks
Prepare materials for participant orientations
Assist in the delivery of international staff orientations
Visit international staff at camp placements

Dates and Hours of Employment:

Full time from May 19th to June 30th. Part time from July 1st to September 6th
Hours:
From May 19th to June 30th full time 8:45 am until 5 pm. In June, there may be a requirement to work some days on the weekend which will be made up at the end of June.
Work in July will mostly involve 2-3 day camp visit tours each week.
Work in August may involve camp visit tours as well as helping as a counsellor at our Grandparent and Family Camps:
Grandparent Camp 1: July 31-August 2
Grandparent Camp 2: August 7-9
Family Camp 1: August 28-31
Family Camp 2: September 3-6

Compensation:

$13 – $15 per hour, depending on employee’s experience, level of education, etc.
Compensation during July and August is variable due to nature/hours of work; for example, daily compensation on camp visits

Hard Skills:

Fast Typist
Competent in Microsoft Office Programs
Confident speaking with camp directors and participants on the phone and in person
Strong writing and organizational skills

Experience:

Experience working at a camp and/or attending a camp as a camper is an asset

Other Requirements:

Canadian citizen, permanent resident or temporary resident of Canada with a work permit
Valid driving license
Able to commute to Toronto office or relocate to Toronto
Access to a vehicle for camp visits is an asset, but not a necessity
