IT Support Technician – Cooke Aquaculture – Blacks Harbour

Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a dynamic and growing east coast family company, with Platinum Member status in the Canada’s Best Managed Companies Program, is offering a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Company’s IT Team as an IT Support Technician.   This position is based out of our Blacks Harbour, NB office.

Reporting to the IT Service Desk Manager, your responsibilities will include providing first and second level problem resolution for end users, tracking and logging all incidents/service requests in help desk software, prepare system service documentation, troubleshooting hardware issues in a Windows XP/7/8 environment and keeping track of IT supplies and equipment.

The successful candidate will have analytical problem solving skills complimented with the initiative to plan, organize and prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.  You must be customer service oriented and possess the strong interpersonal and communication skills required to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.

Technical support experience with Microsoft Windows/Office/Exchange and a strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP) is a requirement.

ITIL certification along with experience with BES, Exchange, Cisco Switches/Routers, Cisco Communication Manager, Active Directory, smartphones/mobile devices, VPN, Terminal Services would be considered an asset.
