NB Power’s Transmission & System Operator division is seeking Construction Electricians looking for a challenge in a dynamic company committed to excellence in the electrical utility industry.  As a key member of the low voltage electrical team, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing and maintaining safely, securely and efficiently the low-voltage electrical systems in terminals, switchyards, substations and telecommunication sites throughout the province.

This position requires candidates to meet the following qualifications:

Certified Journeyman in the Electrical Construction Trade
Five years of relevant experience following certification
Three years’ experience interpreting schematic drawings
Experience installing and repairing grounding systems
A valid Class 5 Driver’s license and a good driving record

Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.  In particular, experience supervising crews and experience with high voltage cables and systems will be considered assets.

An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
