Reporting to the General Manager, Engineering, the Manager, Engineering Operations ensures the continuous operation, maintenance and serviceability of City water, sanitary sewage, storm water, solid waste, fleet and garage and roads systems. The Manager, Engineering Operations is responsible for the management, leadership and administration of the Operations Division in the Engineering Department and serves as a member of the Engineering Department’s senior administrative team in the development and implementation of departmental and Council policies and projects.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in civil or municipal engineering or Diploma in Technology from a recognized university or college. The successful candidate will also have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a management level role in the public sector; an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, will be considered. Current membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia or ASCT Registration would be an asset.
