This position reports directly to the Department Manager within the Atlantic Industrial Refrigeration Department located at 71 Loftus Street, Moncton, NB. The position involves managing and supporting our group of industrial refrigeration project technicians and to assist in the continued growth of the Department. The industrial refrigeration department services all industrial customers within New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island and includes food and fish processing plants, arena plants, refrigerated distribution centres, etc.
The Project Manager will also be responsible for: safety compliance, people and resources, managing industrial refrigeration projects utilizing the existing business processes as directed by the Department Manager and B&M’s Business Process Standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate all projects within the Industrial Refrigeration Division.
Maintain business relations with all key house and target accounts as well as to encourage, participate and promote the development of new and unique business opportunities.
Oversee and/or prepare project schedules, monitor progress, prepare project safety plans and project business plans.
Adherence to and implementation of health, safety and environment policies and programs.
Adherence to and implementation of quality control programs.
Prepare weekly productivity reports and monthly Project Manager checklists.
Work with Project Foreman/Supervisor to execute projects in a timely and efficient manner.
Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients as required.
Assist Department Manager in directing and/or executing the purchase of supplies and materials.
Assist in department financial performance, i.e. accounts receivable, work in progress, budgeting, and invoicing.
Hire and supervise the activities of project personnel with the assistance of the Project Foreman/Supervisor.

Have a working knowledge of construction Occupational Health and Safety.
Be knowledgeable in Quality Control requirements, ie: Boiler & Pressure Vessels QA requirements, etc.
Effective leadership, coaching and communication skills are required.
Be able to organize and delegate work effectively.
Willingness to travel.
Post-secondary education required; relevant technical college course or engineering degree.
Previous experience in Industrial Refrigeration (ammonia and Freon) would be considered an asset.
Willingness to learn the design and management aspects of the business with the intent to succeed in a management role in the future.
Previous project management experience is considered an asset.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Candidates must be capable using MS applications (Word, Excel, and Projects).
