Kenora is North America’s premier boating destination, located adjacent to beautiful Lake of the Woods and its 14,522 islands. Manager of Community and Development Services
Reporting to the CAO, the Manager of Community and Development Services will lead activities for the Community and Development Services Department, including support in planning, organization and providing direction.  As a member of the Senior Leadership team, this individual will play a role in setting the strategic direction for the City.  Additionally, this person will act as a leader and change agent to empower their team and guide their department towards reaching internal goals and objectives to contribute to the long term success of the City.  A key role for the Manager of Community and Development Services is to develop and support an empowered workforce by building a collaborative work environment founded on principles of commitment, autonomy and motivation.

The City of Kenora is seeking an individual with a strong background in Public Administration and leadership at the Municipal level who is excited by the opportunity to continue growing their career.  The Manager of Community and Development Services will interact with local and neighboring Boards and Committees to represent the City of Kenora in the wider community.  The successful candidate will have a good understanding of Municipal legislations, policies and procedures, coupled with the ability to prepare departmental business plans and budgets.  A Degree in Public Administration or related field and ten years supervisory experience are also required.
