Cambridge Suites Hotel, Sydney, is now hiring a Permanent Full-Time Hotel Food and Beverage Manager.
Duties include: Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant, lounge and kitchen. Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures. Recruit staff and oversee staff training. Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance. Control inventory, monitor revenues, modify procedures and prices and conduct month end reporting. Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, involvement with Menu Planning as well as Marketing.
Requirements: Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is usually required; experience with point-of-sales, micros and databases. Several years of experience in the food service sector including supervisory experience, excellent communication skills, proven ability to foster a team spirit, proven track record for organization and professionalism, are required. Able to work 40 hrs / week on a flexible schedule and must have a good command in English. Experience with Industrial Relations would be considered an asset.
Salary Range: $35,000 – $42,000 (depending on experience)
