Fire Chief / By Law Officer – Village of Fraser Lake – Fraser Lake, BC

The Village of Fraser Lake is seeking a Fire Chief to lead the Fraser Lake Volunteer Fire Department.  The Fire Chief is responsible for the daily operation and administration of the Fire Department.  This includes the planning and provision of training as outlined in the British Columbia Structure Firefighter Competency and Training Playbook.  The Fire Chief is also responsible for recruitment, promotion of fire department volunteers, and ensuring compliance of occupational health and safety systems.  A strong core of volunteers assist with organizing and directing firefighting, rescue and other emergency services.

This is a permanent, full time position.  A competitive market salary and excellent benefit package is offered.  Typical hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Attendance to after hour calls and weekly training require some evening and weekend work.
