Administrative Assistant – Our Health Centre – Chester, Nova Scotia

Our Health Centre (OHC) in Chester, N.S. is looking for an Administrative Assistant to provide clerical and reception duties for two family practice physicians, in a temporary location in Chester, until the OHC physical plant is complete. An opportunity to flow into the new location would exist.

We are looking for the following qualifications:

Preferably experience in a primary healthcare setting
Graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant or a secretarial/business administration course
Proficient in Microsoft Office ,including Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge and  experience with electronic booking systems, billing records and  the Nightingale Electronic Medical Record
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently with minimal supervision
Commitment to promoting a culture of caring and respect that supports safe and ethical practices. Have a working knowledge of the rules of confidentiality and the laws surrounding it
Demonstrated regular attendance in current and previous employment
