Human Resources Coordinator – Armco Capital Inc – Halifax City

Armco Capital Inc a diversified and dynamic group of companies with a large portfolio of business operations and one of Atlantic Canada’s leading real estate development and property management companies.  They are currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join their Halifax office.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment including posting, screening, interviewing and reference checks
Onboarding of new employees
Payroll submission
Manage employee files including additions, changes, terminations
Development and implementation of policies and procedures
Employee relations
Benefits administration and management including Group Benefits, RRSP and EAP
WCB claims and remittances
Performance and Talent Management
Develop and negotiate employment contracts
Track vacation, sick leaves and other leaves of absence
Other duties as needed

You Have:

Minimum 2-4 years’ experience
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field
Experience with payroll
Proven track record of effectively handling multiple projects simultaneously and an ability to work productively in a fast-paced, complex environment
Strong communication skills, including the ability to present insight and actionable recommendations in a concise and confident manner.
