We are looking for a senior (5-10 years) level Sales and Partnerships Manager

Who you are:

Localize is looking for a Sales and Partnerships Manager to help to grow our labeling programs for grocery stores across North America.

You’re empathetic. You can listen and hear people’s needs, while synthesizing solutions and opportunities. You think that local food is great, and more importantly, you think that giving consumers better access to information about their food is critical.

As a Sales and Partnerships Manager, your primary objective will be to expand the Localize business and build key partnerships list with retailers across North America. You will play an integral role in working with our team to develop and secure growth opportunities for the organization. The ideal candidate in this role easily forge connections with decision-makers in the retail industry, who has a proven business development background.

Responsibilities will include:

Working within the Corporate Business Plan to build new partnerships and expand to new markets across Canada and the United States
Develop and lead business development and sales strategies that are opportunity or client specific
Build knowledge, contacts and relationships with the grocery industry, which could include strategic partnerships with affiliate organizations such as industry groups or trade memberships.
Rigorously qualify all opportunities and employ sales techniques to advance opportunities.
Develop strong working knowledge of the needs of our clients, relating needs and client feedback to the company’s development team.
Be aware of procurement trends in industry, and understand the drivers for decision making in the retail industry.
Identify and solicit potential clients. You should be as comfortable with a cold call as you are with an executive presentation in a board room.
Assess clients’ needs through effective listening and solution building.
Work closely with operational team to create proposals that can be successfully delivered upon.
Assist in estimating or quoting prices, contract terms, and delivery dates.
Assist in preparation of sales contracts.
Consult with clients after signed contracts to resolve any issues and to provide ongoing support.
Review and adapt to information regarding industry, competitors, and market conditions.

Desired Skills and Experience

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A university degree or completion of a college program in business, commerce, sales, communications, marketing, public relations or a related discipline. The education component of this position is desired, but not required.
Experience in sales and networking within the an industry, and the ability to build new networks in our industry.
Expertise with creating bids and proposals and managing the proposal process directly.
A person who is results oriented and has excellent organizational and communication skills.
Skilled in writing, excel, word and PowerPoint
Has extensive experience dealing with industry representatives at a senior/executive level
