Business Development Manager – Jump Recruitment Specialists – Halifax Regional Municipality

With over 20-years in business, our client is one of the leading manufacturers of commercial and residential cleaning products in Atlantic Canada. They pride themselves on using locally sourced ingredients for their lineup of innovative, sustainable products. Customers include retailers, healthcare facilities, schools, government buildings, restaurants, and cleaning service contractors.

The Business Development Manager’s responsibilities encompass all activities related to the strategy, management, coordination and execution of attracting new clients across North America. The role will work to identify, analyze, pitch and convert potential clients in areas of strategic interest.

The position will identify opportunities, determining their financial and operational feasibility, while uncovering prospects’ business needs. Relationship building, market analysis, negotiating contracts and exploring new markets will be part of the daily activities.

Responsibilities:
• Execute a sales strategy to expand market share, and drive new revenue
• Meet or exceed growth targets
• Effectively work with all areas of the company to ensure that customer expectations are constantly being met or exceeded
• Participate in marketing events including national and regional meetings, tradeshows, user group events, etc.
• Preparation of RFP responses, proposals, and sales presentations
• Communicate to senior leadership as it relates to business opportunities, industry feedback, and business development  opportunities
• Previous experience in the sanitation industry considered an asset

Qualifications:
• College degree in Business Administration or Science
• 5+ years of successful outside national B2B sales experience required
• A proven track record in growing a sales territory and establishing a network of contacts and prospects
• A consistent, proven track record of sales achievement vs. targets
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
• Exceptional time management, multi-tasking, and self-starter attributes
• Ability to utilize CRM tools for opportunity tracking, forecasting etc.
• Willingness to travel across North America as needed
• Valid driver’s license and passport
