The current position advertised is for the Assistant Manager of Finance with the opportunity for the successful applicant to assume the retiring Finance Manager’s position. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and the Manager of Finance, the Assistant Manager of Finance is a key member of the finance department and the management team. As a dedicated financial professional you hold, or are working toward, a Chartered Professional Accounting designation (CPA). You will be responsible for the daily operation of the Finance Department and the supervision of four employees. Preferred candidates will possess three to five years of public sector accounting experience in addition to financial management and supervisory experience. Key areas of responsibility include:

Maintaining the integrity of the billing, collection, payables, and payroll processes;
Maintaining the integrity of the financial reporting systems with sound knowledge of Vadim being an asset;
Reviewing and evaluating systems and internal controls;
Preparing statutory financial reports and monthly actual comparisons to budget;
Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and the five year financial plan; and,
Providing input for development of financial policies, procedures, goals and objectives as well as assessing insurance risk.
