Marketing and Branding Coordinator – Vigor Clean Tech (VCT Group) – Kitchener

Overview
VCT Group, formerly Vigor Clean Tech, has been helping businesses and individuals save money on their electricity bills and invest in clean energy for over 10 years. The team at VCT Group has expertise in the following business lines:
Solar power generation including engineering design, supply, installation and all related coordination with local utilities and building departments;
Supply and installation of electric vehicle charging stations and assessment of fleets for electrification;
Electricity contracting for energy efficiency; and,
GHG action planning, prioritization and target setting.
VCT Group also founded and operates a renewable energy co-operative named Community Energy Development (CED) Co-op. CED Co-op has raised over $17 million in investments from its 750 members, on its way to developing a portfolio of over $40 million worth of renewable energy projects. VCT led CED Co-op to be the first co-operative in Canada to become a public corporation, enabling these investments to be held in RRSP, RESP, TFSA and RRIF investment portfolios.
VCT Group is seeking a passionate, hands-on team member to assist us improve the effectiveness of our B2B marketing efforts, support co-op communications activities as well as reinforce our brand identity and integrity. Specific responsibilities include:
Build and maintain creative systems that provide positive public perception and constant branding across marketing and public relations channels for both VCT Group and CED Co-op.
Research and synthesize customer, industry and product data to assist with developing marketing and communication strategies/tactics.
Create compelling copywriting, editorial, press releases, blogging, pitch letters, email campaigns, newsletters, event promotion and presentations.
Develop and manage existing websites including SEO strategies, Google analytics or other Web analytics tools.
Build on Social Media strategies (email campaigns, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.)
Distribution of digital and printed materials via mailing, media and tradeshow/info events.
Measure and evaluate responses to marketing and communication efforts by survey, tracking, adjusting messages and then assignment of follow-up activities.
Enforce exemplary communication practices and ensure a quality end product

Required Qualifications:
College or university degree and minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Strong creative, organizational and time management skills with demonstrated attention to detail, customer care and quality of work.
Experience with social media platforms and tools.
Experience with print production, graphic design, web design and content management systems.
Experience in tradeshow/event management is an asset.
Experience in construction, energy or financial industry is an asset.
While not a requirement, it will be to your advantage if you have a genuine interest in sustainability, renewable energy or the clean tech sector.
This position has room to grow. The intent is to advance the Marketing and Branding Coordinator position into a Management role potentially within the first year of employment.
