Cook and prepare food in front of customers;
Schedule, supervise and coordinate kitchen staff;
Oversee kitchen operations, delegate tasks, and lead the kitchen team;
Set up and oversee the food bar;
Assist with recruitment, interviewing and hiring of new kitchen staff;
Train kitchen staff in job duties, health and safety standards, and company policies;
Ensure the cleanliness of the grill, food bar, and kitchen areas is maintained to a high standard;
Follow safe food handling procedures; FIFO, handwashing, allergy awareness, use of separate cutting boards;
Use all slicing equipment and knives safely;
Estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies, equipment and ingredients as required;
Complete an accurate product pull sheet to maintain records and eliminate wastage of food and supplies;
Follow uniform and hygiene standards.
Successful candidates must have the following:
Several years of commercial cooking experience;
Ability to stand and exert high-paced mobility for up to 6-8 hours in length;
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis;
Food safe certification;
Excellent customer service skills.
