Public Works Employee General Tradesman – District of Taylor

Taylor

The position
of General Tradesman reports to the Director of Operations. The position will perform a wide variety of tasks that could include operation of heavy and light equipment, physical labour, etc. On call rotational coverage is a requirement, as well as working a rotational weekend schedule with the successful candidate also being required to live within municipal limits.

Applicant should have:
Class 3 B.C. Drivers License c/w Air Brake Endorsement
Clean Driving Abstract
Previous experience in Municipal Infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications
would include Level 1 E.O.C.P. Certification in Water Distribution, Water Treatment, Waste Water Collection and Waste Water Treatment. A physical fitness exam is a requirement.
A base rate of $32.22/hour (2021 rate) is offered after a ninety-day period of probation at $30.72/hour. E.O.C.P. certification levels are compensated at $0.75 per approved level. The District also offers an excellent benefit package (40- hour work week).
