Business Intelligence Manager – Seaboard Transport – Dartmouth

Seaboard is actively seeking a Business Intelligence Manager to fill a new roll in our growing organization.  This is a great opportunity for an energetic and multi skilled individual capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

In conjunction with the Senior Manager, IS, enhance Seaboard’s Business Intelligence and data warehouse capabilities
Gather business requirements and translate into solutions that increase insight into our business operations
Work with key functional stakeholders to define data source and reporting requirements to support ad-hoc or ongoing analysis
Work with key functional stakeholders to produce, enhance and maintain high impact KPI dashboards
Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert on the use of our BI tools
Coordinate the timely resolution of any reported inconsistencies in dashboards, reports and data sources.
Train team on the use of new dashboards and data sources
Prepare or revise process documentation
Design and build SSRS reports as required
Plan and co-ordinate user acceptance testing
Manage BI projects
Other duties as required

Qualifications:

College or University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related area
Minimum 2 years of demonstrated hands-on experience
Strong knowledge and prior use of MySql, SQL or other database query languages considered an asset
Excellent communication skills: oral, written documents, facilitation, presentations, and email
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Proven ability to deal productively and professionally with internal and external customers
Energetic and multi skilled individual capable of working in a fast paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills required
High level of motivation and energy
Experience in the transportation industry considered an asset
Ability to work in a team environment

Systems Knowledge:

Experience with enterprise level business applications (ERP, TMS, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), other major transactional systems) considered an asset
