Program Coordinator – Two Wheel View – Calgary, Alberta

Two Wheel View creates opportunities for young people to learn and practice lessons in leadership, health and wellness, self-esteem, achievement and environmental stewardship through bicycle education programs and volunteer service trips.

Two Wheel View’s Program Coordinator supports the operation of Two Wheel View through the coordination of bicycle education programs and bike trips. Work with the TWV Team in a highly collaborative environment by sharing ideas to promote a continuous improvement strategy for all programs; designing and developing new programs, making changes to existing programs and coordinates the learning and development of the program facilitators. Assisting in the identification of participants and the current and future needs of the trip program and preparing reports. Works to recruit and engage volunteers in all areas of the organization.

Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements

Develop and implement the goals and objectives for Two Wheel View Programs, which reflect the mission of the organization.
Establish contracts, develop schedules and maintain communication with program partners and facilitators/leaders.
Evaluate the risks associated with each activity and take appropriate action to mitigate the risks associated by ensuring that all participants, leaders & staff are in a safe, healthy, and supportive environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations for the location they are in.
Identify potential volunteers to ensure the best match between the skills, qualification, and interests of the volunteers and the needs of the organization.
Keep management informed by contributing to and reviewing special reports; summarizing information and identifying trends.
Support the grant proposal process and resource guides by collecting and analyzing information. Prepares special reports and budgets as required.
Build organizational image by collaborating with fellow TWV staff, government, community organizations, donors, partners and employees; enforcing ethical business practices; maintain confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Additional duties as required.

Initiative: Identifies necessary improvements, new directions and priorities for Two Wheel View, and is proactive in bringing those forward with rationale and recommendations for implementation
Communication: Microsoft Office Skills, Data Entry Management, Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Certifications/Requirements

Valid drivers license.
Current CPR/First Aid
The successful candidate will be required to provide a criminal records check, child welfare check and a driver’s abstract.
May be requested to work weekends for special program events and trips as required.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., repetitively
