Chief Administrative Officer – Town of Battleford – Battleford, SK

The Council of the Town of Battleford invites applications for the position of Chief Administrative Officer due to retirement.  The Chief Administrative Officer reports directly to Council and is responsible for the effective implementation of all operations of the Town in accordance with provincial legislation and Council approved policies and programs.  This position requires an individual who can identify and evaluate risks and maintain high levels of efficiency and productivity while developing polices and procedures.  The CAO manages the operating budget, provides strategic direction and monitors contracts and legislation.  Strong leader, logical decision maker, a self-starter and managing office resources are skills required of this role.

The minimum requirement is an Urban Standard Certificate in Local Government Authority (LGA); however, preference will be given to candidates who possess at least five (5) years of directly related experience in a municipal government setting.  Post secondary education in administration, finance and planning will be an asset.
