Lesser Slave Lake Regional Housing Authority (LSLRHA) is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Chief Administrative Officer. This is an open ended contract.
Currently, LSLRHA manages approximately 300 housing units under the Vanderwell Lodge and various housing programs. As CAO, you are responsible for the management of the day to day activities in accordance with the direction of the Board and relevant legislative requirements. Reporting to a board of nine, you will be accountable for providing strategic leadership in the development and implementation of policies and program within the Authority. In this role you will provide timely advice and guidance to the Board and under their direction ensure that all programs and services are carried out effectively. A strong leader and facilitator, you will support department managers and all staff in achieving their performance objectives. You will liaise with stakeholders on a municipal and provincial level on key projects affecting the Authority.
As the ideal candidate, you are collaborative leader with several years’ experience in management roles, preferably in housing or municipal government. You have a solid track record building consensus among Board, management, employees, various levels of government residents and other relevant stakeholders.
You are familiar with the challenges of housing authorities and your sound knowledge of financial, administrative, operational, human resources and project management best practices will enable you quickly gain the confidence of all stakeholders. Additionally, you possess well-developed personal qualities including integrity, adaptability, communication and leadership skills. Knowledge of aboriginal cultures would be an asset.
