Chief Administrative Officer – Town of La Ronge

You will have
strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be a strong decision maker with high integrity providing guidance and support for your staff and Council. As the successful candidate, you will have a thorough understanding of municipal operations, including: project management; legislation; finance/budgeting; infrastructure, land use planning; and economic development.
The preferred candidate will have successfully graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution with a diploma or degree in Public Administration or related discipline and be eligible for membership in the Urban Municipal Administrators Association of Saskatchewan and have at least a Standard C Certificate or a recognized equivalent. Prior urban CAO experience OR a minimum of five years’ experience at a senior level in municipal government is required.

This role
is ultimately accountable for a combined capital and operating budget of almost 10M and a present staff compliment of 32 full time and casual persons. Salary range for the CAO is $123,500 – $150,000/annum.
