Director of Sales – Provincial Airlines – St. John’s

Provincial Airlines is currently seeking a highly motivated client focused Director of Sales to join our winning team!

You’ll require a passion for customer service and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your work in leading our dedicated sales team will be critical in exceeding our sales objectives and the customer service expectations of our valued clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sales plans to achieve corporate objectives for all Company products and services
Lead and motivate sales team in their service to existing clients and their pursuit of new clients
Maintain strong relationships with key customers and travel agency partners
Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets
Prepare and review sales reports to measure performance against goals
Communicate effectively with the Vice President to develop acceptable proposals and contracts that meet client needs, while achieving Provincial Airlines’ objectives
Work with the Marketing Division to launch and execute sales campaigns and community events
Participate in stakeholder activities, e.g. Boards of Trade, Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Groups, etc.
Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A University Degree or Diploma from a recognized educational institution in Sales/Marketing, or equivalent experience
Experience in Sales/Account Management
A positive, friendly manner and customer service approach
The ability to lead and motivate a sales team
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
Creative thinker
Effective written and verbal communication/presentation skills
Must be proficient in MS Office programs
Travel throughout our customer markets is essential
French is considered an asset
