Recreation Workers & Leaders – City of Pitt Meadows

We are seeking Recreation Workers and Leaders to perform work in support of a variety of recreation and culture programs and events in our community with special interest and experience with children and youth. These positions are responsible for and/or provide assistance in planning and implementing recreation programs with particular emphasis on children’s afterschool and evening programs. The successful applicants will have knowledge of the fundamentals of program leadership and experience in instruction of a wide variety of programs for all ages, including children and youth. Individuals will facilitate and/or support drop-in & sports programs, camps, afterschool programs, Pro D Day activities, wellness and physical literacy, and outdoor activities.

The successful candidates will have completed grade 12 supplemented by courses related to the work, plus experience; or an equivalent combination of training experience. You must be willing to work various shifts, including afterschool and evening hours.

Child Youth Worker $18.52 (+% in lieu)*
Program Leader $15.79 (+% in lieu)

*This position may be subject to the living wage adjustment, as per the Living Wage for Families Campaign.
