Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead pointA’s program delivery, working with the Programs and Marketing & Communications team to ensure client success and retention and engage new clients.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Programs team in the delivery of Smart Commute and shuttle programs with clients/workplaces to reduce single occupancy vehicle mode share and incite behaviour change. Delivery may include feasibility studies, surveys, and individualized and community marketing campaigns in conjunction with the Marketing & Communications team.
Liaise with clients, internal and external stakeholders, partners, and funders to report on program delivery progress and evaluation. Represent Smart Commute and partners at relevant meetings, consultations and other industry events.
Regularly prepare budgets and report to major funders in coordination with the Executive Director and staff team.
Actively engage new clients by undergoing business development activities and identify new markets and clients.
Work with the Executive Director on identifying new granting opportunities to increase pointA’s revenue.
An undergraduate or graduate degree in urban planning, environmental studies, geography, public policy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
A growth mindset, and a strong passion for making a difference and helping people.
Familiarity and interest in sustainable transportation; knowledge of environmental management, urban and regional planning, and transportation demand management issues. Non-profit experience is considered an asset.
Project management and/or programs experience to manage all aspects of program delivery, including planning, managing budgets, survey data analysis and reporting, and evaluation. Project management certification or education is considered a strong asset.
Strong administrative, organizational and planning skills, and capacity to both work independently and demonstrate initiative in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal skills including excellent customer/client service and business development interest and experience.
Experience with managing a small team, event planning, public outreach and writing funding proposals.
Excited to become an integral part of the organization and play an important role in our continued growth.
A positive self-starter with 4+ years relevant program/project management experience.
Confident in developing new business relationships and opportunities, and professional in working with employers and public agencies.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Sharepoint.
Willing and able to travel to locations within North Toronto and Vaughan, as well as occasionally to locations outside of these areas (a personal vehicle is not required). A G class driver’s license is considered an asset.
