Role Summary:

Transportation Logistics Manager (TLM) is responsible for overall performance and efficiency of the fleet of cars, as well as determining capacity and usage requirements on a daily basis for Metro Vancouver. They will work closely with management to solve transportation logistics and customer service issues.

Ideal candidate must be a self-starter and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

This Transportation Logistics Manager (TLM) position has many facets including:

Preparing logistics analysis records and reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
Being accountable for smooth and efficient transportation delivery to our clients including: operation management, procedure control, crisis resolution, distribution network strategy review and long-range business planning.
Responsible for vacant fleet distribution to ensure timely customer pick-ups to provide great quality customer service, and/or exchanging cars that need maintenance without disruption of service to our customers.
Proactively pursuing continuous improvements such as cost reduction initiatives, process improvement and network optimization opportunities.
Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships through proactive engagement and communication. Positively influencing cross-functional relationships.
Ensuring that support-related concerns are declared, resolved and communicated in real-time to optimize our services and rectify client concerns instantly.
Responsible for supporting documentation (logistics analyses) in preparation for Passenger Transportation Board (PTB) and other government authorities.
Following up on customer feedback and any operating incidents reported.
Leading and working with management on investigation of poor operating incidents. Ensuring corrective actions are communicated and implemented to internal and external stakeholders (management, drivers, and customers). Sharing best practices within the organization.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures.
Conducting tests and reporting on back-end servers issues to meet project objectives and maintain constant real-time quality control.
Conducting fleet maintenance – ensuring all vehicles are insured, maintained and are available 24/7.
Performing additional project associated tasks as required.

Experience working in start-ups would definitely be an asset, as you will already have experience working in a lean organization, wearing many different hats, and going that extra mile to get the job done.

Additional Requirements:

Must have Post Secondary Education in Transportation and Logistics and/or a related field
Minimum of 3 years in the transportation industry
