Unikline Transport is looking for an experienced Transportation Manager to join their safety conscious team! This role will oversee and manage National Transportation drivers to make sure the operation is safe and complaint. The General Manager role will support continuous driver growth and lower the company transportation expense. This role will handle the financial reporting responsibility for assigned drivers up through the business group.
Salary: $45 for 40 hours per week

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the daily operations of the company
Set operations policies and standards, including determination of safety procedures for the handling of dangerous goods, and ensure compliance with transport regulations
Control the company and departmental budget
Monitor company’s or department’s performance, prepare reports for management, and plan for changes to schedules and policies
Recruit personnel and oversee their training.
Recognized leadership and interpersonal skills;
Approve and ensure the follow-up of all documentation related to transport and exports;
Implementation and control of the quality assurance system in order to maintain the highest standards of customer service in the transport industry;
Establish communications efficiently between the parties involved;
Monitor shipments schedules and the movement of goods in transit and track them down;
Identify the needs of customers according to their request, identify the equipment required to process customer requests and negotiate rates;
Resolve problems related to the transportation of material.
Coordinate and plan the transport of domestic and international shipments, by negotiating the best possible rates with carriers
Manages the assigned drivers including financial KPI’s, budgets, forecasting, and P&L measurements. Works with his or her senior leaders to reduce company transportation expense;
Operational responsibility to review, manage and improve load efficiencies, driver work hours, loads per hour, week & month, compares to operational KPI’s;
Manages the assigned drivers and hire new drivers, and improve Safety, Employee Engagement, Regulatory Compliance, Retention Performance Management;
Properly reports, investigates and manages all accidents and near miss incidents. Drive continuous safety improvement;
Provide optimal customer service across the assigned regions. Communicate schedules and delays to manager and specific customers on real time basis;
Negotiating services and preferential rates with carriers, warehouse operators, with terminals (ports, airports, road terminals, distribution centers, etc.) and representatives of insurance companies;
Coordinate trips with partners to meet customer requirements and satisfy the logistics and transport division;
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
5 + years’ experience;
3 years’ experience at Managers level;
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred;
Knowledgeable in Environmental Industry.
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Strong communication skills (written and verbal);
Good organizational skills.
Knowledge of profit improvement;
Able to maintain accuracy of system and report information;
