Definition of Work

This position is responsible for the recruitment, and retention of a skilled workforce, while promoting high quality service to internal and external clients.  The position is also knowledgeable in the areas of payroll and benefits, providing regular support and back up to the Payroll and Benefits Administrator.

The Human Resources Representative will work collaboratively with departmental management to provide or coordinate a variety of HR activities including: orientation, organizational planning and effectiveness, skills development, succession planning, retention strategies, job design and recommend revisions to existing processes or policies in order to more effectively meet human resource challenges in the workplace.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Commerce/Business Administration degree with a concentration in Human Resources Management or related discipline.
Two years’ directly related experience in human resource functions.
Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills are essential combined with a strong knowledge of current computer applications and human resources issues and trends.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment while working effectively in a high-paced environment.
An equivalent combination of experience and training/education may be considered.

Salary  $49,236 – $64,007
