Remuneration: $32,500- $37,500, commensurate with qualifications, plus benefits

POSITION PURPOSE

The Junior Analyst supports the global Research Products team in its mission to provide a high level of product quality to its clients, through the development of responsible investment and sustainability related products. Over 4,000 listed companies are analyzed and rated on their ESG performance and results are published in the Sustainalytics Global Platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Research, analyze and rate the ESG performance of publicly-traded and private companies of the financial services industry (banks, diversified financial services, insurance, real estate);
Prepare profiles to be published in the Sustainalytics Platform;
Analyze daily news and assess company activities in accordance with internal standards;
Support the preparation of off-the-shelf and customized deliverables for clients;
Research ESG trends in the financial services industry;
Participate in quality assurance and best-of-sector analysis; and
Contribute to the development of intellectual capital and thought leadership through report-writing and public-facing activities.
Bachelor degree in related discipline (business, finance, environment and/or social science);
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry and SRI/RI market;
Demonstrated passion for sustainability;
Strong research and analytical skills;
Meticulous and attentive to detail;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including strong writing and public speaking skills;
Client focused;
Resourceful and independent;
Flexibility and adaptability; and
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and strong Excel skills.

QUALIFICATIONS
