SUMMARY:
This position coordinates and delivers various communication activities and information services to fulfill the planning and implementation stages of the CRD’s wastewater treatment project. This position works closely with the General Manager, Parks and Environmental Services, Senior Manager of Corporate Communications, the Corporate Communications team, and stakeholders in order to achieve successful communications outcomes while ensuring corporate guidelines, standards, policies and procedures are followed.  This position may be required to work a variety of shifts, including days and evenings, weekdays and weekends as determined by operational requirements.

Coordination of communications includes communications planning, website initiatives, public information development, promotional planning and implementation, media release development and public relations activities as needed. This position will also focus on public engagement and formal consultation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful applicants will have an undergraduate degree in communications, journalism or related, with five (5) years directly related experience, or other equivalent combination of training and experience.  Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills are required, in addition to strong project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time and on budget ensuring key stakeholders remain informed.
