Office Admin – Ottawa Organics – Ottawa

Basic Responsibilities:

Pick and pack customer orders of organic fruits, vegetables and groceries, and assist with deliveries when required.

Schedule:

Shifts usually begin at 7:00am-3:00pm or Noon-8:00pm. The position will be approximately 24 to 32 hours per week.

Warehouse responsibilities will include:

Picking and packing orders, according to order sheets.
Weighing and bagging produce
Loading, unloading, and transferring product to designated areas.
Cleaning warehouse daily; maintaining a neat and orderly workplace at all times to include moving pallets, sweeping and removing/disposing of debris.
Sorting produce.
Loading prepared delivery orders into vans at loading dock, outside building.
Aiding in preparations for the next day. i.e washing plastic delivery totes, weighing produce, etc.
Performing other related duties as assigned.

Office Admin responsibilities may include:

Answering phone call and emails from customers
Entering customer orders
Running reports
Assisting with our newsletter
Updating our website
Updating social media (Facebook, Pinterest, etc)

Skills:

Written and Verbal communication skills
Self-motivated – Attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Customer Service
Bilingual (French/English) an asset

Experience, Education, Training:

Previous delivery/grocery industry/customer service/marketing experience.
Interest in organics and good food

Certifications/Licenses:

Valid Ontario driver’s license.

Compensation

$12.00 per hour
Free organic fruit and vegetable basket
