Police Clerk III – Court Clerk – District of Saanich – Saanich, BC

 Regular Full Time Position

The Saanich Police Department is seeking a motivated, qualified and experienced individual who will be responsible for reviewing and managing court related information to disposition. The successful candidate will be required to prepare and/or process documents relating to the submission and disposition of Criminal Code charges submitted by police officers. This position will appeal to a detail-oriented and well organized individual with a thorough knowledge of C.P.I.C. policy and procedures.  Requirements include Grade 12 or equivalent, plus an additional program up to one year full-time office and clerical training; minimum two years related experience working in a police or related legal environment and working in an office environment; proficient in various systems and email software packages, preferably MS Word; experience and proficiency with the inquiry and audit functions of the police systems (PIRS, CPIC, PRIME RMS, JUSTIN and CORNET); and minimum typing speed of 55 wpm. The successful applicant must pass/maintain the required enhanced security clearance, complete/possess formal CPIC Training Program and be willing to undertake additional training.
