Permanent Part-Time Receptionist
40 hours bi-weekly

Eastport is seeking a part-time Receptionist to join its Operations Team who will be responsible for supporting the firm’s dynamic team of financial advisors by providing the client service, sales and administrative support required to drive the business forward.

We are looking for an individual who embodies our core values, strives for client service excellence and is willing to grow with our rapidly expanding company. This position will work out of our Halifax location at 53 St. Margaret’s Bay Road.


Roles & Responsibilities

Assist the team with client reception, answering phone, message taking, mail sorting, supply ordering and equipment maintenance
Assist the advisors with the co-ordination of client meetings including greeting attendees, food and beverage, location, calendars and any documentation required
Assist in the co-ordination of business development, client events, and philanthropic initiatives
Assist other members of the operations team with special projects

Qualifications & Aptitudes

Certificate or diploma in business or office administration and/ or equivalent work experience
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Experience in office administration, client service, financial services, insurance and/or mutual funds considered an asset
Proficiency in MS Office
Strong organization, co-ordination and overall administration skills
Proven ability to maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Embraces new challenges and approaches change and new tasks with flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude
Works successfully both independently and as part of a team
Appreciation for entrepreneurship and the values of family, community and philanthropy

The base wage for this position will be $12-$15/hour.
