Calypso Developer

Full time permanent position
40 hours/week
Salary DOE plus including benefits (two weeks holidays, sick days, federal holidays)

Job Description:

Seeking an experienced senior application developer with diverse technology experiences in the making of robust, secure, and multi-platform financial applications.
Requiring very strong Java development experience and Calypso development, implementation and customization experience.
Create preliminary specs for new features
Lead development of all aspects of our applications (development, testing, deployment, architecture)
Write well-tested, maintainable code
Optimize and scale existing features
Participate within the agile development process to help build out new features
Manage the release process for your changes and push to production
Perform SDLC responsibilities related to develop, support and enhancement of in-house applications as well as support both client and vendor solutions.
Business analytical experience is also required.

Required Skills:

10 years of Core Java application development experience
5 years plus of Calypso trading platform experience including implementation, customization and involvement in upgrades and implementations
Server side experience with IBM and Linux
Web API experience
Messaging protocol and handling
Reporting experience
Oracle database
Very strong domain knowledge with FX, Bonds, Swaps
Analytical skills being able to communicate with both the business team and other developers
Strong communication skills are required

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Sun Certification highly desired
