For future consideration: We are seeking a high caliber Senior Electrical Designer to work on a contract basis. Based in Calgary, AB, you will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies to the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical sector.

You will have knowledge of and/or experience in of the following:

Providing detailed design to locate, install and interconnect a wide variety of electrical equipment and components involved in process plants
Preparation of drawings including electrical area classification, one line & three line diagrams, substation & MCC room layouts, lighting layouts, cable tray & conduit layouts, instrument wiring, elementaries & interconnections, electric heat tracing and all material take off
Complex electrical systems and controls for large motors, generators, switchgear and motor control centers

You must have experience in:

Working for an EPC company
Oil, gas & petrochemical facility experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Engineering Design & Drafting Technology
5-15 years relevant experience
