Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for managing the programming team as well as programming tasks.

Type of position: Permanent

Responsibilities:

The main and routine tasks of the Team Lead, Programming are to:

Lead and manage a team of Programmers;
Plan, organize, follow-up and evaluate the work of the team of programmers and its impact on the project;
Actively works with other department leads to provide solutions for the project (including workflow, technology, resources);
Efficiently communicates and supports messages and decisions from management;
Motivates and inspires others to generate new ideas;
Identify risks and estimate time to accomplish programming tasks;
Coach and guide development of Engine programmers throughout life of the project;
Perform other related duties.
Training:

BA in Computer Science or computer Engineering or the equivalent in experience.

Relevant Experience:

5-7+ years’ experience of programming in C/C++;
Equivalent of 3-5 years of experience as a Programmer on a video game project;
Senior Programmer with good management skills;
Capacity to produce efficient software design and also to participate in software design reviews;
Ability to choose the most efficient algorithms and data structures for the task at hand (keeping constraints and performance in mind). Being comfortable with debugging unfamiliar code;
Enforcing coding practices on team;
Leadership skills;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken;
Passion for the making and playing of games;
Good oral and written communication in English;
Working well in a team environment;
Updating job knowledge proactively;
Autonomous and proactive attitude;
Problem-solving and open mind;
Ability to work under pressure;
Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.

$80,000 – $130,000
