Under the general direction of a Recreation Programmer, the Youth Leader will provide direct supervision to Program Assistants and participants in registered programs and birthday parties at all four recreation centres. Successful candidates will be responsible for leading and supervising relevant activities in a variety of birthday parties for youth. This also involves ensuring the safety and well-being of participants and communicating and working cooperatively with participants, parents, coordinators and supervisors. Requirements include completion of Grade 10, three months experience in a recreation day-camp environment, satisfactory police information check, Emergency First-Aid and CPR Level C, and a valid BC Class 4 Driver’s Licence, as required. Successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends. Shifts are set based on bookings and registrations.
