Decore Hotels/Maligne Lodge Ltd. is currently looking for a Maintenance Manager/Supervisor to live and work at the beautiful Tonquin Inn. Situated in Jasper National Park, the Tonquin Inn has been operated by the Decore family since 1978. Our accommodations offer an idyllic Rocky Mountain get away for families, friends and couples.
The Tonquin Inn is located in the heart of Jasper National Park with easy access to the best hiking and biking trails, ski hill and rafting adventures that the Canadian Rockies have to offer. Our facilities have cozy, sunken liven rooms, convenient kitchenettes and hot tubs.
Job Description
As a Maintenance Manager/Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Supervising and coordinating a team of approximately 12 light duty cleaners, janitors, caretakers and other maintenance personnel
Training new maintenance personnel
Inspecting our facilities to ensure that the highest repair and cleanliness standards are maintained
Interviewing candidates for open maintenance personnel positions
Preparing work schedules
Preparing estimates for costs and reporting to executive management
Assisting with the completion of cleaning and maintenance activities such as the operation of vacuums and other cleaning equipment, window washing, sweeping, mopping and scrubbing, clearing of snow and ice from walkways, grounds keeping, repairing ventilation, mechanical and electrical systems, and coordinating with tradespeople, etc. (as required).
We are looking for candidates with 1-2 years’ experience working as maintenance personnel that possess some supervisory experience.
Competition Package
Decore Hotels offers a very competitive competition package to all of our maintenance personnel. As the Tonquin Inn’s Maintenance Manager/Supervisor, you will receive a wage of between $25.00 – $26.00 an hour as well as accommodations on-site for a small fee.
