We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Administrative Officer to join our team to lead us into achieving our vision and the challenges of the future.
Reporting to Mayor and Council, the Chief Administrative Officer is responsible for guiding the day-to-day affairs of the Town as outlined in the Municipal Government Act (MGA), Town Policies and Bylaws as set by Council.
The ideal candidate will possess senior managerial experience in local government together with post-secondary education in a related discipline. An equivalent combination of relevant management experience from another sector may be considered.
The candidate will possess the following competencies:
A demonstrated track record of leadership and senior management experience within a dynamic multi-dimensional service organization.
A thorough understanding of the financial and budgeting process.
Competent in the Alberta Municipal Government Act and legislative process.
Proven experience in strategic planning, organizational development and achieving results in building team relations.
Experience in implementing development plans, capital works and infrastructure improvement programs.
Certified Local Government Manager (CLGM) is considered an asset.
Proficiency in public relations techniques and conflict resolution.
