Job Description:
Drumheller is located in the rugged Badlands of the Red Deer River Valley about 130 km north east of Calgary. With a valley population of 8,000 and a service population of 25,000, Drumheller has been able to attract and provide amenities typically found only in much larger centres.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Town of Drumheller is seeking a Director of Infrastructure Services. Participating as a member of the senior management team, this position will provide leadership for planning, development and coordination of delivery of services for the department and the municipality. Creating and maintaining a unified team approach to areas including, but not limited to, engineering and project management, operating and capital budgets, GIS, water, sewer, solid waste and recycling, roadways, signage, open space, building maintenance and undertakes capital projects. The Infrastructure Services Director will coordinate design and construction of the municipal infrastructure as well as oversee and direct all aspects of the engineering and technical aspects of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Civic Engineering Technology (CET) designation combined with experience in infrastructure;
Your background includes strong academic credentials and several years in a senior role within administration;
You are effective in management, team building, leadership and supervisory strengths, with a commitment for continuous improvement;
You have good planning and organizational skills, strong capability to identify priorities and outcome measures;
You have a commitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer services.
The Town of Drumheller offers a competitive salary and compensation benefit package including LAPP pension. Successful candidate will be required to fulfill a six month probationary period prior to acquiring permanent status.
