 About Spinario:
Located in scenic St. John’s, Newfoundland, Spinario Custom Orthotic Lab fabricates orthotic devices for practitioners that have been developed through years of clinical application and product design.  Spinario requires a Production Manager for our Orthotic Fabrication Facility. This position will be responsible for providing direction and guidance to members of the production team in their daily production operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Overseeing of production levels, quality, and inventory control. Coordinate daily operations to ensure daily and weekly production goals are met and exceeded.  Responsible for the coordination and effective scheduling of production team members and resources to meet customer shipping requirements. Responsible for communication with all productions teams, and other staff as required, ensuring that quality product is delivered on time to all customers.

Perform maintenance and implementation of quality standards and processes.  Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labour, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
Create and maintain performance metric system to identify maximal daily in-house device fabrication to meet productivity goals

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Preference will be given to candidates with prior leadership experience within an O/P laboratory setting or in the manufacture of medical devices.  A degree or equivalent, in a related (e.g. Engineering, Production Management) technical field
Certified OH&S
Strong computer skills with a proficiency in CAD, CAD/CAM Circuit Design for CNC machine would be a definite asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently both in a team and individual environment
Ability to foster collaboration through team building
Ability to improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
